PLACE TO BE FOR BREAKFAST

The Hole in the Wall Cafe

Best place to be on a sunday morning. They have wide variety. Food here is simply brilliant! The only problem you face is the long waiting time for a table. It is not very expensive. This place looks like a house turned into an eatery (no shabby work there), you have a range of seating options to choose, from outdoors to indoors. The walls are adorned with small picture frames, huge bottle openers

Must Try : Complete Meaty Omelet

Egg Factory

It is the best place to have every thing eggy. The menu lists eggs prepared in styles from across the globe - Mexican Huevos rncheros to Italian Frittatas to our desi Anda bhurjee and everything in between. Deciding on what to order is quite a task in itself. There are a few vegetarian options too but they aren't really this place's specialty.Must-visit for anyone who likes eggs done well.

Cafe Terra

A small place on 80 feet road, koramangala, close to the wipro park signal; the place can be easily missed due to the presence of numerous eateries around the place. Cafe Terra offers good breakfast options - omelettes, combos, sandwiches and waffles. The omelettes are very well made and service is quick. Though Cafe Terra doesn't offer fresh fruit juices, it provides a good portion of canned juice at a reasonable price (Rs.50 or 60).

Boca Grande
Boca Grande, located in Koramangala opposite the Police Station, near National Games Village, is a must visit. They have excellent Breakfast Buffet. The spread includes two cut fruits, white n brown bread, waffle with honey and chocolate sauce, boiled egg, live omelette counter, chicken sausages, chilly cheese toast, mashed potato, baked beans, two cold drinks (one juice, iced tea).  They have a live counter for omelets with a wide variety of items to complement it with. The only downside is that top floor only has buffet option and has relatively less seats.

MUNCHIES.........

Lazeez Roll

If you just concentrate on the food, pricing then this is the place.
Here we  get some amazing rolls .The place is well known for its rolls which they have still somehow managed to maintain it, but the biryani's and other food dishes are really not upto the mark as they were once!
A frequent visitor that I am, I could say dont expect good service, with hygiene from this place. This place would be for month end hang out places for bachelor's
So overall, not good nor bad to eat place.

MUST TRY : DOUBLE CHICKEN EGG ROLL

Khan Saheb Grills and Rolls

It's all about Rolls ! If one has hunger for something fast , juicy and light - this is a place to be. No specific recommendation here, most of things are good . I have tried most of rolls over here and what i crave here is quality of meat they serve.

- Meat is juicy , tender and well cooked.
- Rolls whether tawa, kathi or wheat is fresh and soft.
- Right amount of Oil and Spice
- kababs are good too.

Overall it a great place when you want quick food .

Hungry Hogs

This i must tell u is one of the best places to chill out and spend time. The menu isn't very big nor is the place but its got some really nice hot dogs and fries. Food price is pretty okay. As far as the service is concerned waiting is there as they make it after you give your orders. Overall i would give it a 4 if your going for food but a full 5 if your going there to chill out wit friends. :)

Kaati Zone

Kaati Zone has wide variety of rolls both veg and Non veg.The rolls come in a unique packaging that allow for easy, non-messy eating and are customizable. The non-vegetarian filling options include the chicken tikka (good), tava chicken (reasonable non-spicy option), the egg and cheese, chicken hariyali and the mutton seekh.

Kaati Zone’s tagline is “Rolls that Rock” – and the Church Street outlet has guitars and a Connie Francis poster on the wall. The rest of the décor is very much chain-like – orange and blue sofas and chairs, red bar stools and lots of stainless steel, and the restaurant seems very popular with the college crowd. A very big plus is that it is super-clean - employees wear gloves, the mint chutney comes in covered easy-dispensing containers and the loos are sparkling.

The rolls range in price from Rs.50 to Rs.75. A meal for two is approximately Rs.200. It is open from 11 am to 10:30 pm

REVIEWS ON MY FAVORITE PLACES

Dyu Art Cafe

"Dyu Art Cafe" in Kormangala.
Located very close to Fennys, down that lane, the immediate left after the convention centre and your here!
Ambience- With the setup of an old big house that one would not normally find in urban areas, this cafe is the perfect setting to make a person feel at home. While there is music playing in the background, it is soothing to one's ear, while maintaining a quiet and cozy atmosphere.

Service- With food being served within 10 minutes from the time of order, for an individual like me , when hunger can seriously curtail my level of patience , this is an attribute in itself that makes this place a dream diner.

Food- Hmmm now this is where I would like to say " please get some more things on your menu apart from sandwiches and salads!" A burger or two would do no harm! Come on!
But for the very limited menu they had the taste was not too bad!

Price- The best part! We had a veg salad a chicken sandwich,a glass of lemonade , coldcoffee and a chocolate cake for dessert and it only cost us 460 bucks! So a total value for money!

Overall- Not a bad place to visit for a decent meal with a good ambience and the amazing prices!

Must try - CHOCOLATE CAKE !!

MAHESH LUNCH HOME

Originally from Bombay (Fort Area, where I first sampled their awesome garlic butter prawns!), these guys recently have opened an outlet on Residency Road, just next door to Chancery pavillion (opp Bangalore Club). The ambiance is decent.
Service is painfully slow! Repeat...painfully slow!

Food is good, has to be...since its Mahesh! The prawn gussi, Fish Mallipuram and butter garlic prawns/squids are out of the world! Other fare also is pretty decent. Couple that with good accompaniments like Neer Dosa and Appams and Breads...its heavenly!

The recent groupon coupons helped me sample a long list of food which I found fairly decent...ranging from Koliwada Fish, Chicken Soup to Gassis/Appams etc.

For the kind of food they serve, pricing seems a tad on the higher side. But what they can truly improve is their service and ambiance  At the moment, too damn slow!

THULP

The names in the Menu are awesome and very unusual (KOLI DOSA-omlette,Moo's yoo daddy etc.)
Apart from having a good food,Read some books from the Shelf .
Best place for the hard core meat Burger lovers,Pork burger(The Ho CHi Minh) is the best if i have to choose. Bit pricy for a BURGER but after a bite i am sure you will forget about it.
Overall a very very GOOD place and revisit is required.

MUST TRY - ROAD HOG

PHOBIDDEN FRUIT

Vietnamese food at its best. Food served in a very simple yet appealing manner, along with the warm and friendly service of the staff, this place is the perfect setting for a diner. While retaining the culture of Vietnamese food with its flavor and taste, this is a "must visit" for all. While burgers and other fast food are in a rat race of their own, this restaurant and its food are matchless, both in value and taste.

CHINA PEARL

This is exactly the kinda place for people who don't like authentic Chinese food but really wanna have Chinese feel to the food they eat. They have very pleasant music and the ambiance is great. I have visited this place more than 12 times as i can recall. The price may be a little more than usual but its really worth it for a few visits. Food is excellent . Value for money.

CUISINE OF BANGALORE

The diversity of the cuisine available is reflective of the social and economic diversity of Bangalore. Roadside vendorstea stallsSouth IndianNorth Indian, Muslim food, Chinese and Western fast food are all very popular in the city. Udupi restaurants, are very popular and serve predominantly vegetarian cuisine. The Chinese food and the Thai food served in most of the restaurants are customized to cater to the tastes of the Indian population. Bangalore can also be called as foodie's paradise because of its vast varieties of foods and eatables with a touch of Bangalore's uniqueness and tradition[3]
Some of the renowned traditional Bangalore vegetarian restaurants are MTR (Mavalli Tiffin Room), Vidyarthi Bhavan, Udupi Krishna Bhavan, Ramakrishna Lunch Home, Hotel Sharavathi inYelahanka, New Krishna Bhavan, Janatha Hotel, Central Tiffin Room, Restaurants at Janardhana Hotel and Chalukya Hotel and Ullas to name a few. The masala dosa – rice pancake smeared with red chilli chutney and stuffed with potato curry, 'set dosa' – 3 medium sized dosas, 'benne masalae' – thick rice pancake prepared with butter – are some of the local favourites and few stake the origin of these dishes from Bangalore. Bisi bele bath, Rava idli, Pongal, the spicy Uppittu – served as Khara Bath in most of the restaurants are some of the other local favourites.
The Muslim cuisine of Bangalore is unique as it delivers an interesting blend of Mughlai cuisine, Hyderabadi Muslim or Nawabi cuisine as it is called with a distinct Bangalorean flavour. The MM Road in Frazer town is renowned for its unique collection of around 5 to 6 Muslim restaurants, 3 to 4 Mughlai takeaways, a Chinese restaurant, a sald bar and 2 Arabian themed restaurants. Empire Restaurant of Shivajinagar is very Famous and has its own chain of restaurants throughout Bangalore. The Chandni Chowk area of Shivajinagar also has concentration of tightly packed restaurants and tea shops, where business booms behind closed shutters until the wee hours of daylight. The most favourite sought after delicacies include the Tandoori Chicken, Bangalorean Biriyani, Sheek kebabs, Sheek Rolls, Chicken kebabs, Rumali Rotis and lots more. Road side stalls however rather not difficult to find in areas with a Muslim population give a more dynamic but risky option of barbecued and tasty beef sheek kebab and local Bangalorean recipe Phaal, beef cubes in spicy green masala, served with hot Rice Sevian(Plain steamed Vermicelli). Fried Mutton Brains is also a really tasty choice for daring food-a-holics.
Arabian cuisine is also slowly on the rise with Shawarma and Falafel gathering some popularity although these hotels are usually frequented by Arab students and Indians who have lived in the Middle East.
Some of the bakeries in Bangalore are also quite popular for a quick snack. There are many fruit juice stalls and shoppers often visit them.
Bangalore also has some fine dining and specialized restaurants that cover various cuisines of the world. For good Mangalorean and Konkan style seafood, there's Kudla, Mangalore Pearl and Sa-na-dige. The city also is known to have really good Italian and new-age continental food in places like Sunny's on Lavelle Road and Olive Beach. The various restaurants in the five-star hotels in the city also offer some very authentic and delicious meals. Some of these include Blue Ginger (Thai/ Vietnamese, Taj West End), Raj Pavilion (Colonial Indian Cuisine, Sheraton Windsor Manor), Zen (Japanese / Korean, Leela Palace), and the many 24-hour cafes these hotels run.
